Nursery Furniture and Their Uses

There are so many different pieces of furniture that we can purchase for our baby’s nurseries. But they are not all as useful as what they may first seem. Today, we are going to discuss with you some of the common pieces of nursery furniture and their uses.

Baby Cot
A cot is a staple piece of furniture that can be found in every baby’s nursery. This piece of furniture is used as a safe place for babies to sleep and play in. We would highly recommend you purchase a decent sized cot for your baby’s nursery that will last them a little while.

Changing Table
Another common piece of furniture that can be found in baby’s nurseries is a changing table. These are generally used for changing your babies on, with them being elevated up to your height for changing. This is perfect for new mums who may be sore from the birth of their babies, so would struggle to go down to the floor. Changing tables are also good for storing all of your baby’s changing and bathing needs, keeping them all organised in one set area.

Rocking Chair
Another item that can be found within baby’s nurseries is a rocking chair. These are perfect for both mum and baby to have somewhere comfortable to sit during feeding time. The gentle rocking of the rocking chair can also help to settle the baby, sending them off into a nice deep sleep. Rocking chairs can be fairly large, so these can only be purchased if you have the room, but they are worth it!

These are three of the commonly found pieces of furniture in baby’s nurseries and what they are used for. Of course, you still have the common wardrobe and drawers for extra storage as well.

Children Bedroom Accessories

Decorating your children’s bedroom can be a challenge. With how we can make them special for them without breaking our banks. Today we are going to share with you some accessories for your children’s bedroom.

Firstly you should consider having a night light for your child. These can come in many different styles and shapes. Making it easy to make this child friendly and match with the overall theme of their room.

If you have a little girl, we would recommend purchasing them a dolls house especially for their room. This gives them something which is especially for them. Allowing you to make their rooms more personal.

For little boys, we would recommend going for a dinosaur or cars theme. There are lots of accessories from play mats to cushions which you can purchase in these designs.

For the final touch, we would recommend a name plaque for their door. This again makes their rooms feel much more personal to them. Allowing them to have their own area.

Accessories For Your Bathroom

One room which can be forgotten about is our bathrooms. Accessories for bathrooms and not always used. However they can help you to feel more relaxed and enjoy your bathroom just that little bit more.

A lot of people are adding signs to their bathrooms. For example the words, relax or bathe onto the walls or units. Reading these words can help you to feel more relaxed. These are very low cost so possible for anyone to buy!

Mirrors are also and excellent accessory choice for your bathroom. Bathrooms are mainly used for our personal care. For example, doing our makeup or shaving. Small mirrors will be an amazing accessory. Especially ones which offer a zoom. These are again extremely affordable.

Finally, when I think of bathroom I automatically think of the seaside. Giving your bathroom a seaside feel can be relaxing for some! I mean seashells and model boats. Bring the beach back home with you.

Homeware Accessories For Your Lounge

All it takes to make a house a home is adding some homeware accessories. Lets have a look into some accessories you could add to your lounge.

A canvas is one accessory which you can add to your lounge. These are amazing to make your house more homely. You can decide what you want on your canvas. Whether this is art work or a family portrait.

Another accessory you could add is rug. If you have hard flooring, adding a rug will help make it feel warmer and homely. A rug allows you to add more colour and style to your room.

The final accessory I am going to talk about is flowers. Having a vase with flowers in your room can help to make it more homely. They allow you to bring nature indoors and brighten up the room. They also allow you the opportunity to change them depending on your style.

Blinds For Our House

You may ask yourself what style of blind would suit my property?  Whether you live in a cottage, modern home, eco home, have an attic conversion, live in a bungalow or a block of flats there will be a blind to suit your needs.

We all know of the trusted roller blind. These come as  black out, manual or electric blinds. They come in many colours and fabrics to suit your decor.

Maybe a Roman blind is more your style with its cosy feel of stacking fabric that cascades downwards.

For a more natural look the wooden blinds are made from strips of wood horizontally placed.

Attic conversions with velux windows will need velux blinds fitted. These blinds are manual or electrically operated.

Some window companies fit blinds between the panels of glass. These are operated via magnets , solar or hard wired. These are especially suited to ultra modern homes.

What Are Interstitial Blinds?

Interstitial Blinds are simply a blind which is encased between two sealed units of glass. Interstitial Blinds Are also known as blinds in glass or integral blinds. Interstitial blinds can be fitted into any double glazed window or door frame simply replacing the glass double glazed unit.

The benefits of Interstitial Blinds is they are maintenance-free, hygienic and completely free from dust as they are fully fitted within the double or triple glazed unit. Unlike traditional blinds where cords pose a strangulations risk to children and pets, Interstitial Blinds are completely safe from this risk.

Interstitial Blinds Are controlled by one of two popular methods. Magnetic or hard-wired The magnetic control is fitted into the glass and a simple slid of the magnet opens, closes and tilts the blind. Hard wired Interstitial Blinds are controlled via the electrical circuit in your home or office. Making them perfect for any home or office.
